Berger 7mm 180gr Hybrid Target bullets are precision match-grade target bullets designed for long-range shooting, F-Class, PRS, NRL, Fullbore, and precision reloading in 7 mm cartridges. This is one of Berger’s well-known Hybrid Target designs, combining a high ballistic coefficient with easier load tuning compared to traditional VLD-style bullets.

The key feature of this model is Berger’s Hybrid Ogive profile, which combines tangent and secant ogive geometry. In practice, this provides excellent aerodynamic efficiency while making the bullet less sensitive to small seating-depth variations than typical VLD bullets. This helps reloaders find a stable and repeatable accuracy node more easily, especially in rifles used for long-range shooting.

The bullet weighs 180 grains, has a diameter of .284" / 7 mm, and offers a high ballistic coefficient: G1 BC 0.680 and G7 BC 0.349. The minimum recommended twist rate is 1:9" or faster. The official Berger part number for the 100-piece box is 28407.

Due to the bullet’s 180gr weight, 1.527" overall length, and recommended twist rate of 1:9" or faster, the barrel twist, chamber, throat geometry, and magazine length should be verified before loading.
