Berger 6.5 mm Long Range Hybrid Target 153.5 gr bullets are among Berger’s most advanced target bullets for long-range shooting. They were designed for maximum consistency, a high ballistic coefficient, and stable flight at extended distances, especially in long-range, PRS, F-Class, and precision sport shooting disciplines.

The 153.5 gr LR Hybrid Target model uses a hybrid ogive profile, combining the advantages of tangent and secant shapes. As a result, the bullet offers a very high ballistic coefficient while being less sensitive to small variations in seating depth relative to the barrel rifling. Berger describes this profile as “jump-tolerant,” meaning it is more tolerant of bullet jump to the rifling than traditional VLD designs.

The applied Meplat Reduction Technology, MRT, helps achieve a more uniform bullet tip shape. This translates into excellent BC consistency from shot to shot, reduced vertical dispersion at distance, and improved trajectory predictability. According to Berger, this model is Doppler radar verified, with BC variation below 1%.

The bullet weighs 153.5 grains, has a diameter of .264 inch / 6.5 mm, and offers a very high ballistic coefficient: G1 BC 0.694 and G7 BC 0.356. The minimum recommended twist rate is 1:8" or faster. According to Berger data, this bullet is intended for cartridges including 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, 6.5x284, 6.5 SAUM, 26 Nosler, and 6.5 Weatherby RPM.
