Description
BERGER .375 410gr Hybrid Target Bullets .375"
Berger .375 410gr Hybrid Target bullets are extremely heavy, high-BC target bullets designed for long-range and Extreme Long Range shooting. This projectile combines excellent external ballistics with Berger’s Hybrid Ogive design, offering high ballistic efficiency, reduced wind drift, and easier load tuning compared to traditional pure VLD-style bullets.
The Hybrid Ogive profile combines tangent and secant ogive geometry. The tangent section near the bearing surface helps the bullet align more consistently as it enters the rifling, making it less sensitive to seating depth. The secant section toward the nose reduces aerodynamic drag, improves ballistic coefficient, and helps the bullet retain velocity at extended distances.
This makes the Berger .375 410gr Hybrid Target an excellent choice for precision shooters who need maximum consistency, high downrange energy, and predictable performance at very long distances.
Key advantages
The main advantage of the Berger .375 410gr Hybrid Target over many competing bullets is its very high ballistic coefficient. With a G1 BC of 0.928 and a G7 BC of 0.475, this bullet offers excellent velocity retention, a flatter trajectory, and reduced wind deflection at long range.
The Hybrid Ogive design is also easier to tune than classic VLD bullets. It is less sensitive to seating depth while still maintaining excellent aerodynamic efficiency. This gives reloaders a wider and more forgiving accuracy window during load development.
The bullet uses Berger’s precision J4 Target Jacket, known for extremely tight concentricity. Berger specifies jacket concentricity at approximately +/- .0003" TIR, which helps reduce dispersion and improve shot-to-shot consistency.
The Boat Tail base further improves aerodynamic performance, especially at extended distances and through the transonic range. Compared to flat-base bullet designs, this provides a clear advantage in long-range and ELR applications.

Application
Berger .375 410gr Hybrid Target bullets are intended for precision target shooting, long-range shooting, and ELR applications. They are especially suitable for shooters looking for high ballistic coefficient, reduced wind drift, excellent repeatability, and stable performance at extreme distances.
Due to the bullet’s heavy 410gr weight and long overall length, it should be used in rifles with an appropriate chamber, magazine length, throat geometry, and a barrel twist rate of 1:11.5" or faster.
