Beyond the competitive arena, the 6.5 PRC caught the attention of big game hunters, offering performance akin to the .264 Winchester Magnum and 6.5-300 Weatherby with reduced powder usage and recoil.

Derek Peterson, President of Peterson Cartridge, emphasizes the versatility of the 6.5 PRC.
