Berger 6mm 109gr Long Range Hybrid Target bullets are advanced match-grade target bullets designed for long-range shooting, PRS, F-Class, NRL, and precision reloading in 6 mm cartridges. This model belongs to Berger’s Long Range Hybrid Target, LRHT series, developed for high BC, low ballistic variation, and excellent consistency at extended distances.

The bullet uses Berger’s LR Hybrid Ogive profile, combining tangent and secant ogive geometry. The tangent section makes load tuning easier and reduces sensitivity to seating depth, while the secant section improves aerodynamic efficiency, flattens the trajectory, and reduces wind drift. Berger describes this bullet as jump-tolerant, meaning it is more forgiving of bullet jump to the rifling than traditional VLD-style bullets.

The 109gr LRHT features Meplat Reduction Technology, MRT. This controlled tip-forming process creates a more uniform and repeatable nose profile. According to Berger, MRT increases BC while reducing BC variation, resulting in less vertical dispersion, reduced wind drift, and a higher probability of impact at distance.

The bullet weighs 109 grains, has a diameter of .243" / 6 mm, and offers a ballistic coefficient of G1 BC 0.568 and G7 BC 0.292. The minimum recommended twist rate is 1:8" or faster. The official Berger part numbers are 24485 for the 100-piece box and 24785 for the 500-piece box.

J4 Target Jacket provides excellent jacket concentricity. Berger specifies a tolerance of +/- .0003" TIR, helping reduce dispersion and improve downrange consistency.

Direct replacement for 1:8" twist barrels — Berger states that the 109gr LRHT provides the same stability factor as the popular 105gr Hybrid Target and is a direct replacement for barrels with a 1:8" twist rate.
